When A Cruise Is A Luxury Cruise

Sometimes I think that a trip advertised as a luxury cruise is no more than an ordinary one with a bigger price tag on it. So how can we determine whether the cruise line if offering something that is really luxurious? If it is as some special celebration you will want to know.

Perhaps you are reaching a significant birthday or you plan on retiring and you are giving this to yourself as a treat. Some newlyweds might be searching to choose a cruise for their honeymoon. Something away from your normal life and the children is almost certainly what will appeal to you in each of these situations.

If you found a night club with lots of unruly noisy teenagers in it every night you almost certainly would be unhappy. So, when planning your luxury cruise you need to do lots more research than you would normally.

Of course a really luxurious trip with the environment you want as opposed to a conventional cruise is going to cost you a bit more money. A luxury cruise cabin should include at least some of these additional luxuries to qualify for the amount you are paying.

A fine wine to go with a top rate meal is essential and being handed a glass of champagne on the way into dinner each evening would be a nice touch. What your choice of food is should be well explained by your waiter and they should also be up to date with the range of wines that they have to offer. An option to have the evening meal, or any meal for that matter, brought to the cabin occasionally would be nice. When eating in the dining room you would like to have a romantic corner table for two.

Cruise liners often have loud music blaring from lots of speakers, make sure that the one you pick is a bit quieter than that. A relaxing area to sit quietly in and maybe read a book is another advantage. After dinner you may like to be able to have a first class show to watch and then a ballroom to dance romantically until it is time for bed.

When you are boarding and leaving the cruise liner there should be a steward on hand to take care of your luggage. I once remember a vacation when we left our suitcases outside our room at a hotel close to the departure airport the night before our flight. The next time we saw them was in our cabin. We told all our friends about that experience.

As I said before to travel in luxury is not cheap. Think of how many staff are required to let you enjoy all these things that you want. As there are a lot of crew needed behind the scenes, you should be looking at cruises which overall work out at around just one waiter for one passenger.

Unfortunately not every cruise line has cruises of this class available. Fortunately, it is very easy to look through all the sites online and work out one which will give you a truly luxury cruise.

My name is Trevor Barrett. With the way that the economy is today I have had to become the money advice expert for our family and would like to share some ideas that I have found.

This one is about having a celebratory luxury cruise for a special occasion. An all inclusive cruise should be exactly what it says but it is not always.
